Creating an Email Newsletter from Microsoft Word

Want an easy way to update your customers with your company news, then adopting an email newsletter or e-Newsletter on a regular schedule can not only keep them informed it may even generate more business.

An e-newsletter combines the benefits of company information and marketing opportunities with little cost to compose and savings realised by using email technology rather tan traditional postal means.

Some things you need to consider when preparing your e-Newsletter;

Frequency Make a plan to publish your newsletter on a regular basis

Content Keep the content focused on the audience, dont try and oversell any product or service as these emails tend to get deleted very quickly.

Size Try to keep the newsletter to 3 4 bullet points, in short attention grabbing sentences that lead to full stories on your website.

Bandwidth Try not to over indulge your newsletter with too many graphics, keep in mind many users still have low speed internet connections and large image sizes will have an impact on downloading. Try to keep your newsletter to under 60Kb

In this article I will show you the easy way to create a newsletter based on tables in Microsoft Word ready for importing into your email program for distribution.

Step 1: Open a blank word document and insert a table with 3 columns and 6 rows. I recommend merging the top 3 cells and the bottom 3 cells into header and footer rows so you can easily add the company logo on the header row and your address details on the footer row.

Step 2: Merge the left side rows of the remaining rows into 1 column.

Step 3: Add your logo image or Business Name to header area and Address details to footer area, dont forget to add email and website URL links here as well.

Step 4: Formulate a welcome message to introduce your newsletter and its content.

Step 5: Keep the information in the newsletter brief and to the point, if you have more information on your website make sure you link directly to that article or news/product item on your website. Introduce bullet points news snippets with links in the left side column.

You have now created A HTML newsletter that looks like a webpage. Colours and graphics can easily be modified to suite your corporate colours etc. You now have a simple easy to edit Word Document ready for publication via email.

Save the document for future editing and then selecting the entire table copy and paste into an open blank email.

Tip: Send the email to a friend or your free email accounts (hotmail, gmail etc) to see how the finish product will look when your customer receive it.

If no formatting issues are found after test email is sent, send the newsletter to your predetermined list of contacts.

Remember: Frequency is the key to gaining new and repeat business, so compiling and sending regular updates will help educate your customers on your products and services.

How To Treat Vertigo

Vertigo is a disease which manifests sudden postural imbalance and dizziness. The person may suddenly feel the symptoms but will get back to their normal state after the episode of vertigo. However vertigo is a serious disease as it increases the risk factor for some of the serious disorders such as strokes and tumors. There are different types of vertigo such as peripheral vertigo, objective vertigo and central vertigo, hence, the treatment of the vertigo is a necessity as it may lead to severe imbalance problems.

The treatment strategy for vertigo is decided based on the diagnostic results which should show the cause of the disease. The disease is usually treated symptomatically since it will help to reduce the severity of manifestations. The problem is in the inner ear, which includes dislocation of calcium crystals and infections such as Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo (BPPV) and can be treated with certain exercises such as physical maneuvers. However, brain damage or cardiac problems are more serious and hence have to be treated very carefully.

The drugs for the treatment of vertigo can be administrated orally, through intravenous injections or patches in the skin. In case of any bacterial infections, antibiotics are preferred to stop the further complications. Meclizine hydrochloride, Diphenhydramine, Promethazine Hydrochloride, Diazepam and Scopolamine transdermal patch are some of the commonly used for the treatment of vertigo.

Particle repositioning maneuver is a specific treatment for vertigo caused by mis-positioning of calcium carbonate crystals. In the treatment the head has to be moved in such a manner to reposition the crystals and to give relief from the symptoms of imbalance.

The exercises for vestibular rehabilitation are also used as remedy for vertigo in which the patient repeatedly undergoes the position change from lying state to sitting and vice versa. This is repeated until the patient has recovered completely and most often, the recurrence of the disease will not occur.

In serious cases, surgery in the inner eye to insert a plug is recommended to overcome the disorder. It has high success rate and only 5% of people have to repeat the treatment.

Alternative medicines also suggest many effective treatments for vertigo. Poppy seeds, dates and citrus fruits are recommended as good remedies for vertigo. Herbal supplements and specific treatments are also included in treatment.

Rest is the immediate solution to vertigo, as soon as the symptoms are felt. Use of a cane is also sometime necessary to retain steadiness and balance. A patient with a tendency for vertigo must be extremely careful to adjust their movements at a slow pace.

Myth of the Mainstream

'Mainstream' - a principal current of a river, 1667, from main (adj.) stream, hence, "prevailing direction in opinion, popular taste, etc.," a fig. use first attested in Carlyle (1831).

I propose that the concept of 'the mainstream', be it music, art, ideas, politics, entertainment and all other social constructs, is and has always been a social myth.

The key to this argument lies in the cyclical nature of the market economy, political thought, and technological advancement. For sake of simplicity, I shall concentrate solely on the development and eventual disintegration of the concept of the 'mainstream'.

What came before the MP3? The CD.

And before that? Vinyl.

And before that? Shellac and wax drums for musical boxes.

And before that? Sheet Music. Musical Scores.

As funny as it sounds now, at the very dawn of 'Popular Music' or pop, a 'Hit' technically accounted for the total sales of a sheet of music, a musical score. The expectation and reality of the market was solely reliant on availability of current technologies at the time (namely music boxes and pianos) and the musical ability of the consumer.

For the main part it was more economic to purchase an upright piano rather than a the musical box, purchasing songs for a music box was a privilege of the rich. Imagine paying $500 for an mp3 track? No one in their right mind would, yet the physical nature of such devices meant that supplying a range of music for any device would be beyond the reach of the masses. The 'Player Piano' moved things along somewhat, creating rolls of punch paper reduced the costs considerably. For many this was new technology was still out of reach of the average, or even middle income family.

For most, instead of an Ipod, there would stand, pride of place in the Sitting Room or Parlour, a basic upright piano, of which at least one member would be able to read and play music, and the others would at the very least need to hold a whole gamut of decent notes to make the performance painlessly entertaining. The more savvy music publishers (yes they were printers and nothing more), realized early on that if they wanted to increase their sales they'd need to expand their market.

A few seemingly harmless pointers to publishing a popular 'hit' led to a series of hard and fast rules that held back the creative growth of the music industry for over a century.

Family friendly. Their market was the Middle-Class Family, they had money, Sunday Evenings with little to do, a strong moral and religious upbringing and a very definite idea of what music should do.

It shouldn't offend, anyone, anywhere, anyhow. It cannot include any mention of any controversy. The melody must be light, instantly engaging and simple to follow. The whole family must be able to join in and not feel awkward or embarrassed in anyway. Basically hymns.

The market began to fracture eventually, songs for the kids, religious, risque ditties for young lovers and dirty old men, then came style... jazz, blues, big band. Finally wax rolls for musical boxes gave way to shellac and eventually Vinyl discs and as the sound quality improved, and the availability increased and prices reduced, finally those that played the piano instead of a Gramophone, were the rare exception.

The World has changed a lot since then, but as with all things fashion has a funny habit of repeating itself. More and more iPod fans and mp3 addicts are beginning to manipulate their own collections, with the development of a whole series of cheap and cheerful music mixing software releases on the way, it doesn't seem so far-fetched to imagine a time in the not so distant future where rather than the 'Mainstream' we will be talking in terms of Single Streams, or even the 'Onestream'.

In the past the more forward thinking printers and publishers of the day decided to buy music from songwriters for a pittance, sometimes even steal them outright and make all the profit for themselves. Now things are changing beyond belief.

Anyone can make music to a point with the aid of software and electronic instruments that a child could learn and play within minutes. With the increased interactivity involved in many of the new technologies, the PC being the original focal point, most consumers are no longer purely consuming, they are now producing. Be it their own Tivo TV schedule, the play list on their iPod, the answer phone message they recorded themselves. Consumption was never a creative act, but finally it seems technology is enabling individuals to come to that conclusion by themselves.

Eventually few people will purchase entertainment in any form, simply the means to produce it. As part of my Fine Arts Degree many years ago, I specialized in Photo Montage, appropriating and aggregating a variety of disparate images, and manipulating and combining them to form a new and original work. Nowadays few would ever consider going through the rigmarole of cutting and pasting printed matter when a graphics program and the Internet can provide vast more choice in subject matter and imagery.

Technology has led our actions, or rather inaction for most of the 20th Century, in the 21st we are witnessing the slow decay of Consumerism itself, and at the beginning the first change we are all both witnessing and providing, is technological manipulation of consumer goods.

As the manufacturers of multimedia devices finally catch up with demand we will witness more and more graphic and sound interactivity to the point that most products will simply enable us to create our own entertainment, as we have in histories past. The only difference is that your Bedroom DJ Mix is now heard by the world rather than an unwilling friend or family member. Local heroes and heroines will be born, down the road from my place are the band Keane, a very successful UK pop band from Battle, Sussex. Without the proliferation of social networking technologies I doubt that their meteoric rise to fame would have been as startling.

Other more stark examples are Gnarls Berkley and the Arctic Monkeys, who via the Myspace.com service have become major players in the world music scene. This isn't simply a technological change. The 'Futurism' Arts Movement at the turn of the last century was obsessed with painting fast cars and trains and planes, as much as a young boy might do these days. No one wants to draw an MP3 player, no one wants to write a poem about their Xbox. People want to 'use' them, and they do, all of them.

The idea that materialism can enable anything other than a show of wealth has changed, we no longer have toys, we have tools. Consumption is now lured by the idea of Production, the snake is eating itself.

Within your lifetime, your or someone you know will produce something remarkable, the miraculous is about to become commonplace and the 'Mainstream, obsolete.

The mainstream is diverging into a billion tributaries, the concept of popularity, and eventually mass advertising will dry up, along with monolithic centralized institutions and corporations. We as individuals are finally learning to disagree with each other, we are taking informed and personal choices in our consumption, and eventually the production of our own 'streams'. We fish for ideas, we take those ideas and create our own unique range of arts, entertainment and individual understanding of the world. And when we're bored with our own minds, we trade our goods with others, some like-minded, some not so.

Music, Art, Entertainment, conceived, designed and produced by the individual for the individual. Very much the way we began. Travelling Minstrels, visiting one village and the next, trading music, trading styles, ideas, even new technologies, but for the main part from home.

There never was a mainstream, the concept of the mainstream was conceived for the convenience of unwieldy organizations with little ability or even impetus to change. Like a vast dam, blocking and filtering the river, it is now beginning to crumble, and creative sources and flowing in from all directions, a veritable waterfall of new ideas, sounds and images are about to be born.

How To Find The Best Deals on HDTV's

HDTVs are hot. Technology has improved tremendously. The technology used in HDTVs appears to be light years ahead of the technology used in older televisions.

Not only does the technology appear to be light years ahead, but so does the price. HDTVs can get pretty expensive. In the future the price will go down like they always do, but in the mean time I will show you how to find the best deals on HDTVs.

The easiest way to get your hands on a HDTV is to visit a local mall or electronic store. But that is not always the cheapest. If you do not live in a big city, you may need to visit one. The best deals are located in big cities.

In big cities you can find large discount stores and their main business strategy is to offer better deals than the average retail store. Since there is so much competition in big cities, you can also find stores offering price match guarantees.

This means if you find a HDTV cheaper at another store, they will sell you theirs cheaper to get your business. Some stores advertise their price match guarantees. But sometimes you have to ask.

The second way to find deals on HDTVs is by shopping online. A lot of times you can find better a better deal online because the overhead costs are lower. They can afford to sell you a HDTV for a much lower price than an offline store. But every online store will not be cheaper than offline stores. You may need to shop around at different online stores.

Try using comparison shopping sites. They will list stores who sell HDTVs and sort the results by price. You can easily see who is offering the best price.

But dont just use comparison shopping sites. Some smaller online stores cant afford to use comparison shopping sites. Perform searches using search engines and just look for the best deals. Just shop around as much as possible and you will find some good deals.

The Origins of the Cigar Store Indian

For some cigar and tobacco shops, a Cigar Store Indian sits outside the door. While this can easily be viewed as an unwanted stereotype on the Native American community, it is also a part of cigar and tobacco history. As some of these wooden Indians appear inviting, happily greeting any incoming customers, others appear defensive, as if guarding the store from shop lifters, thieves, and No Smoking ordinances. However they appear, they appear often: Cigar Store Indians have become advertising icons in the world of tobacco.

Just like candy-caned barber poles have become synonymous with barber shops, and talking lizards have become synonymous with car insurance, these wooden Indians have become synonymous with cigar stores, historically serving as an advertisement that tells the masses where tobacco is sold. Nowadays, however, the Cigar Store Indian is used less as a form of advertisement and more as a form of decoration, one that brings dimension and culture to tobacco's colorful past.

How They Began

When Native Americans introduced tobacco to the European populace, they adopted the role as spokespeople for the cigar industry, forever making their culture intertwined with the culture of tobacco. Because of this, a visual picture of an Indian was often used to tell the masses, highly illiterate masses, where they could purchase tobacco.

The 17th Century Europe marked the first time sellers of tobacco used a wooden Indian to peddle their product. However, because those who did the first carving had not actually seen a Native American, the first wooden Indians that sat on stoops of the cigar stores of Europe often appeared to be fanciful, fictional characters. Yet, by the time the wooden Indian made its way to America, it began to take on a much more genuine, authentic appearance.

How They Were Carved

While some Cigar Store Indians were made of cast iron, most were made of wood. The majority of them were made by artisans or professional carvers. Using axes, chisels, and mallets on white pine, the wooden figures were carved and then painted in a tapestry of folklore, fine arts, and popular culture. In addition to wooden Indians, carvers also produced wooden sports figures, politicians, high society women, and Scotsmen.

What They Looked Like

The first wooden Indians were both male and female, allowing the seller to choose which gender they wanted to help market their goods. When the wooden Indian craze first began, the female wooden Indian was used four times more often than the male wooden Indian. While female wooden Indians were occasionally carved with a papoose, and donned with a headdress of tobacco leaves instead of feathers, male figures were often dressed in the traditional warbonnets (a ceremonial headdress) of the Plains Indians.

Present Day

The height of the wooden Indian fad took place in the 1800's, with a carved statue standing outside nearly every tobacco shop in America. However, in a sad parallel to Native American history, the wooden Indian was often mistreated, damaged by passer-bys. Because of this, the beginning of the 1900's marked an end to this popular form of tobacco advertising.

In today's day and age, with a greater amount of people literate, the need for a visual advertisement waned, sidewalk obstruction laws, and high manufacturing costs, the Cigar Store Indian is not as common as it once was. Some still do stand outside cigar shop doorways, but many others stand inside museums, representing a part of tobacco history. Another reason for their disappearance is the sensitivity of the subject. While some people view a Cigar Store Indian as a stereotype, others view it as part of cigar lore and a laudation for a group of people who introduced the blissfulness of tobacco to an unknowing culture.

Five Best Things Ever To Happen To Online Music

The bloom of computers is so supermassive that computers do not only dominate the field of IT, they have also stretched their wings to arts and entertainment, especially music.

Back in our parents day, they didn't have any iPod and ringtone and music download. They didn't have the luxury and convenience of our music blogs and snazzy stuffs like that. E.g., when they wanted to seize the new Duran Duran album, they couldn't just troll the Internet for it, they had to do it the old-fashioned way -- by hiking to the store, standing in line, waiting under blazing sun or pouring rain. Thats why we youngsters don't appreciate that so-called real value of music. Or Duran Duran.

Thats why I call this age the era of digital music and iPods (also iTunes). iPods with iTunes can be considered two best things ever to happen to online music, legally. But if you cant afford legal music, memorize LimeWire, and any file sharing programs. In my humble opinion, LimeWire is the third best thing. However, just like Napster and Kazaa before, the company behind LimeWire is now being sued by the RIAA.

YouTube ranks fourth in my list. When I relate music to music videos, YouTube is my best choice in the digital world. You can watch many music videos of all time easily. But who knows if it will be sued someday! Or maybe in the next years to come, it will be the best thing ever to happen to online music, and movies as well.

What if you are one of those who love music to the core and wish to compose and edit music of theirs own?

Nowadays, programmed music softwares in the market render all your requirements to compose and edit music. They are the last but not least thing to change the online music world. One of the music editors is called Music Morpher Gold, the most advanced audio editor available in its price range.

Music Morpher Gold version 3.0 is meant for professionals. It includes all of the common audio editing commands and effects. It has tools such as Voice Removal, Vocal Extractor, Wave Editor, CD/DVD burner, CD creator all in one easy-to-use audio editor for professionals and home users (for Windows). It provides a powerful and user-friendly editing environment for novice users. Anyone (with a PC) who needs to edit, convert or manipulate Audio/MP3 sound can do with this software. The software can be obtained free to try from the website: http://mp3-player.audio4fun.com/free-audio-software.htm.

New Travel Technology

One of the new ways to market your travel business is by the use of email. Fast delivery is the key to a successful campaign. The first thing you need to do is to get permission to send these emails by having an opt-in describing the future content of your mails and the other is to have an opt-out in the actual emails that you send to prospective clients. You should follow guidelines set out by mailbox providers to ensure that your emails get past their spam blockers.

Have you ever heard the term SEO (search engine optimization)? If you havent, you should sit up and take notice, especially if you have your own web site. SEO is a broad term which encompasses various methods of optimization including conducting sometimes exhaustive keyword research and the improving hyperlinks that link back to your own web site. For a travel web site, the best back links would be from other travel related web sites.

If you have your own travel web site you should spend some time spreading your links across the internet by submitting your URL (universal resource locator) to as many travel and holiday web directories as possible. You can also link to other related travel sites and reciprocate this by linking back to them, though it is always better to have a one way link that points to your site.

One of the most important features a travel company needs on their web site is the capability for users to search for holidays, flights; cruises etc and be able to book them online. Any travel web site worth its salt now has these features and their number of sales reflects this. More that 80% of travelers who plan their holidays make their bookings online. See http://www.barrheadtravel.co.uk for an example. These back-end programs though are not for the novice web programmer to construct and unless you are used to producing server code I suggest you outsource for this complexity of programming.

Blogs are the latest thing to hit the internet. These can be a very potent marketing tool that can reach out to new customers. People love to be told travel stories and blogs allow you and others to post new content and update it quickly.

Podcasts are yet another way to reach your customers. Podcasts can contain video and audio so you could shorten or use sections of your promotional holiday video and make it available for download by the millions of people who own an iPod.

In brief, if you are in the travel industry, if you dont embrace all the technology that is at your disposal, you may be left behind.

David Kirkwood - I am reasonably new to the travel industry though find the subject very interesting. I am sure that I can bring something new to the table from the other industries I have worked in. No Way Out (DVD) Review

Prior to Kevin Costner's rise to movie stardom in films Bull Durham and Field Of Dreams, he played the lead role in the Pentagon suspense thriller No Way Out. With an all-star cast that includes Gene Hackman, Sean Young, and Will Patton, this is an often overlooked film that's 114 minutes of pure entertainment. Following in the footsteps of countless Cold War thrillers, No Way Out is similar to James Bond meets Jack Ryan. If you enjoy throwback films to the days of capitalism versus communism, you'll definitely enjoy this film. Wrought with suspense, No Way Out is one movie that keeps the viewing audience on its toes and never lets up

When Lt. Cmdr. Tom Farrell (Kevin Costner) is assigned to a post in the Pentagon working directly for Secretary of Defense David Brice (Gene Hackman), he strikes up a relationship at a Washington social gathering with Susan Atwell (Sean Young). Leaving the party together, the two begin a secret love affair that encompasses weekend sailing trips and regular contact. But Farrell is aware that another man is in Atwell's life. What he doesn't know is that the other man is his boss, Secretary Brice.

When Brice and Atwell get into an argument at her Georgetown apartment, it results in her falling from the top of the staircase to her death. Distraught and unable to think, Brice calls his top aide Scott Pritchard (Will Patton). Pritchard clears the crime scene of evidence linking the death to Brice, and convinces the Secretary to deny any involvement in the woman's death. As a scapegoat, Pritchard blames the woman's death on a KGB mole who he claims was trying to sleep with Atwell in order to get information about Secretary Brice's day-to-day affairs.

Placing Farrell in charge of the investigation, a Polaroid negative is found underneath Atwell's bed - a photograph that, once developed, will reveal his relationship with Atwell. Pentagon computer imaging experts are placed in charge of recovering the picture, which bit-by-bit is restored to its original image with each passing minute. Fearful that he will be fingered as the KGB mole and pinned with a murder he did not commit, Farrell must race against the clock to find Atwell's true killer before the newly developed picture exposes him to the world

Enlisting the aid of his friends, Farrell buys some extra time to investigate the case. But time runs out when Pritchard fingers him as the mole and the Pentagon security detail hems him in Can Farrell escape with his life? or will the true killer go free?

Fast-paced, suspenseful, and exhibiting all the aspects of a classic Soviet-era spy game drama, No Way Out will have you poised on the edge of your seat. Featuring a surprise conclusion that will bring a smile to your face, this is a well-written screenplay performed flawlessly on screen. A war-era thriller that keeps the audience guessing until the end, No Way Out is a definite must-see film.

How To Create A Marvelous Business Opportunity From An Affiliate Program

If you are creating an affiliate program to improve the performance of your company in the Internet, you have to make sure that youre offering your future affiliates the best tools to make their jobs easier. If you want to make your affiliate program into a business opportunity, you need to concentrate first on giving your affiliates the opportunity to earn as well.

How to Create a Marvelous Business Opportunity from an Affiliate Program

The most important thing to remember when managing affiliate programs is that its success will largely depend on how well your affiliates will perform. You can increase the chances that theyll perform better by making their jobs as easy as possible.

The Proper Way to Make Banners These are the most eye-catching of all types of advertisements, but they can also be quite troublesome. Customers might be turned off at the amount of time required for downloading large banners in websites. While it wont hurt to host and offer a few large banners for those inclined to use them, its better if you offer a greater selection of smaller banners for your affiliates. Compensate for the minimal size of your banners by making them as visually attractive as possible. Play with colors and choose words and graphics carefully.

The Proper Way to Write Text Ads Many affiliates prefer to host text ads of merchant websites because they use up lesser space and bandwidth without sacrificing effectiveness. When creating text ads for your affiliates, always make sure that they are short but detailed they must clearly sum up the important benefits your products or services are offering. They must also have a catchy title one that grabs the attention of the reader right away.

Secondly, and in the odd chance that your affiliate might prefer to create his own text ad regarding your products and services, make sure that your program offers writing tips and suggestions to help them in this endeavor.

Why Pop Ups and Pop Unders arent Cool They used to be an entertaining novelty but not anymore. Nowadays, most people consider this type of advertisement especially pop ups as an online nuisance because they keep appearing when theyre not needed. As much as possible, avoid offering affiliates pop ups because they might just work to your disadvantage. If necessary, offer them pop unders instead.

Etiquette for Email Advertising Sending marketing newsletters through email is always an excellent strategy because it allows you one-on-one time with your reader to talk about your companys products and services. Many people, however, have abused this opportunity by sending SPAM. In spite of its reduced credibility however, most consumers are still willing to give email marketing a chancebut just once, and if you still blow it off then youll have to suffer the consequences for eternityor until you get a new and valid email address, that is.

Its important to brief your affiliates on the dos and donts for email marketing. The first rule that they mustnt ever breach is the frequency of sending emails. Naturally, they shouldnt flood a persons inbox with the same email over and over. Secondly, they must always offer the reader a choice to not receive emails anymore by automatically taking off their names from the list. Thirdly, they must focus on keeping the content of their email as short as possible while managing to sound interesting at the same time.

Always remind your affiliates to end their letters with a call for definite action.

Regular Meetings Hold regular meetings with your affiliates. Meetings must be done in both group and individual basis so that they can benefit from interactive learning as well as individual consultation. While you may not be their employer, you are still the person theyre looking up to for advice and support and its important that you give them these as much and as often as you can.

Pay Them Right Lastly, as this is essentially a business opportunity for you and your affiliates, money is the tie that binds both of you together. If you want them to display a stellar performance, make sure that you show them why they have to. Pay them the rates they deserve and equally importantly as well, pay them on time.

PSP Game Download: How To Play Game Save?

There are places where you can downlod free PSP game save . These save game files can then be transferred to your PSP, and you can play the game from your PSPs memory stick. Assuming you have obtained a game save (either you or your friend had save it earlier or you download free psp game save from somewhere), all you need to do is to follow the simple steps outlined below to start playing the games again.

What You Need To Have :

PSP Console

Memory Stick Duo (enough space to hold your game save file)

Save game archive file

USB Mini cable

PC running Windows with a free USB port

Step 1: Unzip Your Game Save File.

You can get game save for different sources. It can be the game you have saved to emergency purposes.

Make Sure You Have Your Game Save File in your computer already. If the Game Save is in ZIP format, you need to unzip the file.

After unzip, you will see a folder looks like:

"ULJM05006_DATA" (this is just a sample only, the actual name could be different).

Step 2: Connect Your PSP To Your PC.

Once properly connected, you need to use File Explorer to go into the PSP folder of your PSP. Just like exploring any folders in your PC. At the top level, you should see these folders:

MP_ROOT, PSP

You need to go into "PSP" folder. In there, you will see these folders:

GAME, MUSIC, PHOTO, SAVEDATA

Go into "SAVEDATA"

Step 3: Copy The Game Save Into The "SAVEDATA" Folder of Your PSP.

You will have to copy your game save into this folder. Go back to where you have unzipped the game save. In this example, the sub-folder name is ULJM05006_DATA. Highlight the whole sub-folder and copy and paste inside the SAVEDATA folder.

You need to be careful not to over-write any sub-folders inside the SAVEDATA folder. For example, you you already have "ULJS00002" and you game save name is the same, make sure you do not over-write it. Rename the original sub-folder first before you copy over.

Here you are. All Done! Disconnect your USB and you are ready to play the game on you PSP. You should be able to go into your PSP game console and load your game from SAVEDATA.

You Thought TV Antennas were a Thing of the Past

Many experts including myself are convinced TV antennas are the new wave of the future. Why? Because at this time nearly every broadcast TV station in the United States is now available in crystal clear digital HDTV and best of all it's free. All you need to enjoy your favorite programs in picture perfect high definition is an HDTV set with a digital tuner and a TV antenna.

The best possible HDTV pictures come from those you get using a TV antenna. Snowy pictures and poor sound quality are a thing of the past. With digital HDTV broadcast television you'll enjoy crystal clear life like pictures and CD quality Dolby surround sound, along with many more channels to choose from, all provided to you free of charge by your local broadcasters.

The nature of digital broadcasting allows each broadcaster in your area to provide up to six channels where there once was one analog channel. In other words digital broadcasting makes it possible for your local broadcasters to provide you with up to six times as many channels. Many areas of the country now have dozens of channels available, free for the watching.

The average American households spends more than $60.00 a month for pay TV. Whether or not free digital broadcast television will replace your current cable or satellite TV is strictly a personal choice. Digital television along with the rising cost of pay TV has many people dropping their pay TV, installing a TV antenna and eliminating their monthly cable bill altogether.

If you choose to keep your pay TV provider the addition of an over the air TV antenna to receive free digital TV is still likely to be in your future. In most areas pay providers offer you just a fraction of the local channels that are available with a TV antenna. They choose the channels you get, charge for what they do offer, and most of what they offer is of poorer picture and sound quality when compared to over the air digital TV. Last but not least, when your cable or satellite goes out, and it will, you'll still have your digital broadcast channels.

I'm not saying you should do away with your pay TV provider. I have satellite TV in my home, we use and enjoy it. Too many people think it's an either or decision when it comes to pay TV or a TV antenna. The truth is, a TV antenna system compliments pay TV and vice versa. Its not your pay TV providers fault they can't offer you all the local channels that a TV antenna can. In many cases Federal law prohibits pay TV providers from broadcasting many of these channels.

With the introduction of digital HDTV the benefits free over the air TV can offer are tremendous. I think the following statement released by an industry spokesperson says it best. "Thanks to over the air digital broadcasting, we can broadcast data which will revolutionize the way you communicate, entertain yourself and live your live. We will be able to marry the convenience of television with the freedom and power of the internet. Datacasting wiil make truly interactive TV possible, empowering the viewer to make television viewing an incredible experience.

Why Article Marketing is So Effective!

One important part of marketing for the Internet, which holds true for article marketing as well, is the concept of giving something away. This has proven true time and time again. The more you give away, the more you sell.

Consumers expect two things of the Internet free stuff and immediacy. Your article marketing for the Web should deliver both. Don't fear that you give away too much information on your industry or your business products and services.

Don't fear that folks won't need you because you told them how to do it themselves. In most cases, anyone can do it themselves or learn to do it themselves. They call on you because they don't have the time and don't want to spend the resources to do it themselves. They see, in your article writing and marketing materials that you know how to do it and do it well. They will come to you for your paid help.

Whether your article marketing is on your site, or on the site of publications or blogs etc, don't get so caught up in your marketing your product or service's features in the article that you forget to talk about the benefits. Sometimes people don't pick that up from the features. Sometimes your article marketing just has to hit them over the head with it.

As an example, we'll say you're writing an article that is trying to market telecommuting the practice of employees working from home or another location than the company's office. In your marketing article you talk about how telework allows companys to house their staff in a smaller office. That's a feature. But you haven't pointed out what might be obvious to some, but not to everyone. The fact that the firm needs a smaller office means that it can save money on renting or leasing bigger space, or building a larger office, or a bigger parking lot. Those are the benefits. Article marketing must clearly point out the benefits.

Article marketing lets you put your best foot forward, showing yourself as an expert in the industry for which you're trying to lure customers. Reach out to pertinent associations, groups and sites that are visited by those who might need your business services. Offer them your expertise in the form of an article and you'll be marketing your own business at no cost except your time.

Harnessing The Power of Microsoft SharePoint

In simple words, Microsoft SharePoint is a product which lets users make their own custom versions of a Website. But in fact, when thoroughly examined the product proves to be very complex, and allows the creation of very sophisticated pages. It can also be integrated in the office 2003 packet.

SharePoint has evolved rapidly and gained many new features from which the most important is that it works on the .net framework.

Now windows SharePoint Services (WSS) comes together with the windows server 2003 license, so the server 2003 version of Windows can host Windows SharePoint Services-based websites.

SharePoint had many important characteristics and features which include but are not limited to useful extensions to the Office suite that include a large number of options, message boards with email and message notifications as well as calendar and event lists, content administration and customization are based on the browser, easy navigation, it can be used in many other purposes except its main one which is to be an intranet portal, users can easily add new text fields in the documents in the library.

Many people prefer SharePoint because, as previously said it can be easily customized and modified to fit web pages. It gives the ability too add or remove content through a series of Web Parts otherwise known as boxes. Simple yet brilliant. Other types of customization include the ability to modify the CSS sheets that contain the fonts, colors, and of other tags within the page.

Some users confuse Windows SharePoint Services with the Windows SharePoint Portal server 2003 which is a separate product that needs to be purchased separately from windows server 2003. The two products are not differentiated to well on the market however although the Windows SharePoint Services is much "lighter" version of SharePoint Portal server 2003.

If you plan on learning SharePoint you can find a free trial on the Windows Server 2003 website and also there is a lot of both free and available for purchase documentation on the Internet. After gaining experience with SharePoint Portal server you may discover that you can't live without its useful features.

Overall the SharePoint Products are great and many users are looking forward to the future developments which will bring the release of SharePoint Portal Server 2007 which is expected to be very a 'powerful' intranet tool.

General summary of city:

Bouillon is a city that is situated in the province of Luxembourg, in the western section of Belgium. A small city and part of the Neufchateau district, Bouillon has a relatively small population numbering just over 5,000 individuals. Yet, the small population of the city can be somewhat deceiving, Bouillon is a city that offers plenty of things to do see and enjoy.

Bouillon is located very near the French border and is surrounded by Ardennes. Filled with incredible castle structures, and many historical sites to see, the city of Bouillon draws thousands of tourists each year. The city of Bouillon is also the location where Godfrey of Bouillon first left for the Crusades in 1095. Does My Business Need A Website

Not every business needs a website. Do not commission a website just because you feel that you should and everyone else is getting one.

Businesses that do not need a website

If you operate a business that is running to maximum capacity through referrals and you do not want to expand your business by taking on more employees. Then you probably do not need a website.

If you are certain that none of potential customers will look for your business or services on the internet (bearing in mind a very large percentage of the population now has internet access) then you probably do not need a website.

Businesses that could benefit from a website

There are many different ways that a company can benefit from a website. Some companies will benefit more than others from having a website. For example if your business is trying to reach a wide geographical market (e.g. Hotel) or you distribute your products over large geographical area (e.g. flowers or books) then there will be very large benefits from having an internet presence.

Even local businesses (dry cleaners, key cutters etc) can benefit from having an internet presence. A website would show information such as location, opening times, services provided and any special offers.

More and more businesses source products and services on line so if your customers are businesses there is a good chance that you will be able to benefit from an online presence.

Most business regardless of industry are likely to benefit from an on line presence.

What should my website do?

It is important when deciding on a website you have a clear idea as to the purpose and goals of that website. The website then needs to be design around those goals. Some of the reasons and benefits of having a website include:

Generate sales leads Through good search engine rankings and a good website that meets the needs of potential customers searching the internet for your product or service you will be able to generate more sales leads.

Target a geographically dispersed customer base Users form all round the world will be able to access your website.

E-commerce Your website can be built to handle on line transactions.

Inform to communicate with potential customers about your products, services and Industry.

Build a community building a loyal following of regular users to your website. This could be done by providing information that potential customers are looking for. Forums are good tools for this.

Promoting your brand the design should be consistent with your corporate identity and branding. It is another channel to promote that brand.

Reduce support and customer service costs handling customer service and support queries online can be significantly cheaper than employing staff to answer telephones (there is often a need for both types of support).

Reduce printing and mailing costs Information can be displayed on your website or by email which is a lot cheaper than doing mail shots.

Build trust good website will install trust in potential customers.

Market research a range of data is available on website usage (which products or pages users are looking at etc). Also questionnaires can be filled in online (works best when users are given incentives).

Advertising revenue This should not be a primary reason for building your website but if you have a large number of relevant users coming to your website you should be able to gain additional income from selling advertising space on your website (there are several ways in which this can be done).

Promote ideas, hobbies and beliefs

Do You Have Affiliate Marketing Plan Yet? This May Help You...

Alright, you've made the decision that you want to make money on the Internet. Great! That's fantastic that you've made the decision to take contraol of your life and your finances. I just have one question for you. Do have an affiliate marketing plan written up yet? I'm assuming that you'll be starting off as an affiliate marketer because this is how most people start out. Anyway, do you have any clue how you're going to get this thing going? Let's take a look at a few things that you'll need to consider before you begin.

Do you know what it is that you'd like to promote? If so, have you done adequate research to determine that there's enough of a market in order to build your business? If not, do you know how to properly research a market in order to determine if it's potentially profitable or not? You'll need to either know how to do this or have someone you can trust show you how before you can do anything. Don't just start throwing money and spending your time without having a structured plan.

Have you researched different affiliate programs to determine if there's more than one in your market? Competition is good my friend. It means that people are making money. If there are only one or two affiliate merchants in the niche you are considering you might want to look into something different, while monitoring your chosen niche for positive activity. If it starts picking up then you'll be ready to jump in, but if not you've saved yourself time and money.

Are you going to build your own website or have it done for you? Are you going to be writing your own web copy or outsourcing it? Are you aware of the expense involved with this, especially for professional copywriting? If so, have you allowed for it in your budget?

I'm not trying to be negative by hitting you with all of these questions. I just want you to be aware of what you're getting into and I want to make sure that you don't just jump into Internet Marketing like some crazy person (me) and start throwing money around blindly, only to find that six months and whole lot of money have gone by without getting much accomplished. Take a look at what I talked about before and start writing stuff down. Do some research and figuring exactly how much this is going to cost to get you started. You can get a blog for free and just start writing about your topic by educating others. A lot of people have made it big by doing this alone and that won't cost hardly anything to get started. Just get your affiliate marketing plan in order and start taking action!

Youtube - The Left Wing Lapdog Of The Internet

Conservative web users argue that their views are being suppressed on youtube. Even heavyweights like Republican Hollywood filmmaker David Zucker can be censored.

A short film by Zucker, who worked with "Scary Movie 4," "Airplane!" and other comedies, reportedly had been offered to the Republican Party for use as an ad, but it was declined. It appeared briefly on YouTube, until it was flagged as being "inappropriate for some users".

On the YouTube Web site, anyone can post videos. Above is a still from a montage of some of President Bush's speaking blunders posted as "Stupid Bush." Michelle Malkin was first blogger to point out the leftist leanings of YouTube.

While bloggers played a role in the last presidential election, most advertising and message delivery still comes from campaigns, political parties and interest groups with enough money to bankroll a television blitz. But the YouTube revolution -- which includes dozens of sites such as Google Video, Revver and Metacafe -- could turn that on its head.

If any teenager can put up a video for or against a candidate, and persuade other people to watch that video, the center of gravity could shift to masses of people with camcorders and passable computer skills. And if people increasingly distrust the mainstream media, they might be more receptive to messages created by ordinary folks.

"YouTube is a campaign game-changer, shifting the dynamics of how to reach voters and build intimate relationships," says Julie Supan, senior marketing director for the small, California-based firm, which by one measure now runs the 39th most popular Web site. "YouTube levels the playing field, allowing well-backed and less-known candidates to reach the same audience and share the same stage."

Even the seemingly simple act of posting footage of a politician's interview on "Meet the Press" or "The Daily Show" has a viral quality, because it can be seen by far more people than watched during a single broadcast.

The internet web site You Tube is a free and open area for internet users to post and view all kinds of video content. While there is a terms of service (TOS) that users must agree to before posting You Tube videos, the truth is that there is no real submission approval process. While posting copyright protected content is forbidden under the TOS, there is no mechanism to automatically screen for copyright protected material.

Detection of such material is left to the You Tube community, but, from the incredible number of protected videos that have appeared on the site, it seems clear that the TOS are not rigorously enforced. Of course, it is the responsibility of the users, not You Tube, to post material that is legal. Nevertheless, there have been some legal challenges to You Tube videos posted in recent months.

Contributors to YouTube seem to lean to the left. There are videos of verbal stumbles labeled "Stupid Bush" and "Bush Screwups," along with "President Bush Drunk," a bit on CBS's "Late Late Show" that slowed down a tape of the president so it appeared as if he were slurring his words. Another shows Bush, in his Texas days, extending his middle finger. (One positive video features a group called the Right Brothers singing "Bush Was Right.")

Any registered user can form a group, and the site includes one called "Support George Bush," which says, "Don't be afraid of your beliefs -- most campuses nationwide have a liberal bias anyway . . . as does the media." But it doesn't crack the top 100 in terms of membership, unlike "Bush Sucks," which is designed "for everyone who hates Bush and all his Republican cronies."

Buying A Laptop On A Budget Five Important Things That You Must Consider First

Laptop computers are getting smaller and more advanced every day. Fortunately, prices have been coming down as well. While that is great news for consumers, it doesnt change the fact that for most shoppers, a new laptop represents a large purchase and most large purchases are made on a strict budget. Fortunately, its fairly simple to get the most bang for your buck while making sure that your new laptop has all the features that you need and doesnt become quickly outdated. The key to buying a laptop on a budget is weighing needs versus wants in five main areas: size, screen, GPU, CPU, and RAM.

Size

For most shoppers laptop size is a matter of personal preference, but when buying a laptop on a budget, size can be a major deal-breaker because a specific size preference may not be in the budget no matter which features you give up. The most economical laptops weigh in the 6- to 8-pound range. Laptops outside of this range are usually specifically designed to meet other criteria (like an ultra portable at 3 pounds, or a desktop replacement that rivals the power of a desktop), and thus they carry a premium. Stick to the mid-sized laptops, and your small budget will stretch that much further for the other components.

Screen

Screen size and laptop size are fairly dependent on each other, so if you stick to mid-sized laptops, there wont be many options for the LCD screen. While that may not seem like great news, the 15-inch screen that comes on most mid-sized laptops is more than adequate for most uses; and if this is not sufficient, then for stationary usage it is usually possible to attach a standard desktop monitor to the laptop to increase your screen real estate. If you have a desktop already (as most people do), you probably have a very capable monitor already on your desk; make sure to confirm with your retailer that using a separate monitor is possible on the laptop that you have chosen.

GPU

The video card (or GPU graphics processing unit) is the component that actually renders the images that appear on the screen. There are generally only two options for this component, but when buying a laptop on a budget you really only have one choice shared video. Now certainly the other option, a dedicated video card, produces far better results under demanding conditions; but shared video, where the video card actually shares the RAM of the computer versus having its own, is perfectly fine for daily use and is certainly more affordable. It is important to note that a shared video card generally will not play current computer video games, so if that is important to you, its probably best to wait until you have more money; or instead use your laptop budget to buy a more affordable desktop that can handle playing a graphics-intensive game.

CPU

The CPU is one area where you can really save some money! Dont get caught up in the hype of the newest processor on the market; its easy to feel pressure to buy the latest and greatest technology so your laptop isnt obsolete the day after purchase, but with the central processing unit, or CPU, you can safely go a few steps down from the current processor to save some major cash. You likely wont even notice that you have made a compromise, and this will give you some money to put into other areas of the laptop.

RAM

The RAM, or random access memory, gives your laptop thinking power. If you have ever experienced delays when accessing programs, or annoying freezes when trying to do too many things at once, you have witnessed a computer begging for more RAM. Mid-range laptops often come with 256 MB of RAM. With this was once sufficient, 1 GB is now more suitable due to more advanced applications. But dont worry RAM is one area that you can usually upgrade later. If adding the RAM to your system during the shopping process doesnt make economic sense, you might consider buying more RAM later either online or at a local box store simply make your laptop purchase now, and save up to add more RAM later. Either way, adding more RAM will generally give you a better overall experience, and you wont feel as if you bought a budget-conscious laptop after all.

The laptop-buying experience should be fun and exciting, but if you are buying on a budget, unless you shop carefully you could wind up feeling as if you bought an inferior, outdated product. Its easy to avoid these feelings by simply making sure that you get the things that you really need, and avoiding some of the more expensive but nonessential wants. Most importantly, take your time, do your research, and feel very comfortable with your final purchase. A budget-priced laptop can take you well into the future, without leaving you with an empty wallet!

We all get convinced by a few of these get the sales quicker Internet Marketing Companies pitch that their product or service will vault us into Conversions (fancy name for Internet Sales) with unbelievable speed.

We entrepreneurs, each and every one of us, must first buy into the concept, the products, the vision of demand for the products and services offered. Our hope for a successful business, coupled with our zeal to quickly start our business, clouds our vision in applying the basics of building a business. Beware these purveyors of Business Bliss!

I am often reminded of a story we read back in elementary school called Stone Soup. It is fable about a traveling Minstrel who had devised a simply ingenious way of obtaining food at each of his stop-over destinations. The housewife invites the Minstrel into her home intrigued by the promise of a Magic Stone capable of turning plain boiling water into a delicious soup.

While the Minstrel is stirring the Magic Stone (free for the taking from the roadside) in a huge pot of boiling water, he begins to tell the unsuspecting housewife how wonderful the soup is going to taste. He weaves a tale of a tasty and healthy meal for her family. But then he states, As delicious as this Magic Stone Soup will be, it would be even more delicious if we added a few carrots. The housewife always obliged and would eagerly add diced carrots to the Magic Stone Soup.

The Minstrel would continue this charade of suggesting other vegetables to enhance an already excellent tasting Magic Stone Soup. And the housewife, or another person in the village or town, would eagerly add what vegetable the Minstrel suggested to the soup pot. At the end of the story, the soup created was a great soup, filled with vegetables donated by the towns people! This Magic Stone Soup is then shared with the lady of the house, and the whole town. Once he has had his fill of soup, the Minstrel would remove his Magic Stone and continue on his way to the next village or town. This is the technique used by many Internet Marketing Service companies Stone Soup Selling. They start you with something simple (and free or of little value) and before you know it, you have to invest more of your money and time to make what they originally sold you work.

I will agree that a balanced approach toward applying ALL of the items above (and more) are necessary for getting people to your website. But getting them to move from Visitors (browsers) to Sales Conversions (buyers) requires good old merchandising and pricing and promotion techniques as well.

So don't buy into the Stone Soup 'Quick Fix' messages delivered by most of these Internet Marketing Companies. Like any business, whether it be Mortar 'n Brick or Internet, it takes months to years to build a loyal client base and reap your Merchant Fortunes. Be patient. Be diligent. Apply the many aspects of marketing; whether it is the

FIVE P's: People, Price, Product, Promotion, Place or

FIVE C's: Customer Solution (benefits), Customer Cost (competitive) , Convenience (right to your door), Communication (engage emotion, information).

Remember: there is no such thing as a quick road to riches (at least not morally and legally). There is no Stone Soup. Beware the Minstrels of who weave a tale of Quick Money.

Health Nutrition Diet Fitness - How does what you eat affect them?

When people hear the word "diet", we tend to think of counting calories, eating salad, and being pretty miserable. In fact, the word "diet" is more about eating healthy, nutritious foods on a daily basis. There's no need to starve oursleves just because we're struggling to lose weight!

So what does a nutritious diet consist of? In my opinion, it's all about consuming foods that keep your energy levels running at a constant high level throughout the day, and allows them naturally fall at night. It's really about eating correctly in such a way your body is continually fuelled to the most appropriate levels. This doesn't mean eating salads all day - it simply means thinking about what you eat, and when you eat it.

My recommendations are as follows:

- Eat complex carbohydrates earlier in the day to keep your energy levels up
- Try to get at least 30 minutes of some form of exercise every day
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
- Try to balance each meal with 50% Carbohydrates, 30% Protein and 20% Fat for ideal nutrition
- Try not to go for more than 3 hours without eating something
- Don't eat anything withing 2 hours of going to bed
- Try to eat protein rich foods within 4-6 hours of going to bed

It's important that you keep these points in mind as you go through your daily life as this wil maximise the value of your diet. If you're able to keep up with this over a period of time, you should find that you have more energy and your sugar cravings lessen. This has definitely been my own experience! Additionaly, the weight will naturally start to drop off without you needing to eat like a rabbit!

If you follow these ideas, then I truly hope you find them as helpful as I have. All things considered, losing weight doesn't have to be punishing! Conversely, eating a healthy diet doesn't have to be about losing weight.

Eat well, eatheathily, eathappily, and dont' make this any tougher than it needs to be.

Happy Dieting!

The Power and ROI of Open Source

The open source symposium was held at Taj Residency, Bangalore on 17th and 18th October, 2006. The event was conducted by Red Hat, sponsored by AMD and the research data was based on IDCs research and surveys. The speakers talked about the trends in the industry, the business and revenue model of Red Hat, how open source can be applied to architecture, software, middleware and hardware.

Right now the open source developer participation from APAC region and India in specific is miniscule. They spread some awareness about Red Hat open source platform and threw some light on how to participate in the open source community and how we all can benefit from this model.

According to IDC's recent research, enterprise adoption of open source has grown manifold; companies worldwide are increasing investment in open source technologies. Today enterprises have started benefiting from the quality, license cost savings and flexibility of open source. Beyond profit margin of open source adoption, there was also discussion about backing open standards, contributions for open source community.

Some of the interesting topics are given in detail below:

The Power of Choice: Open Source Architecture

The long term vision of Open Source Architecture is built on open standards and interoperability. The Open Source architecture delivers a suite of standards based technologies and services, allowing open source and traditional software applications to be co-existed and can be deployed on reliable, secure, scalable and highly performing platforms. To the enterprise, it is the power to assemble and dissemble the architecture, software, middleware, hardware and applications that fulfill the goals of the business.

Open Source Software (OSS):

With OSS, the code is protected by a special license GNU General Public License (GPL) that ensures everyone has access to code. That means no one company can fully own it. You can see the code, change it and learn from it. Bugs are more quickly found and fixed. And when customers don't like how one vendor is serving them, they can choose another without overhauling their infrastructure. No more technology lock-in. No more monopolies.

The marriage between SOA (Service oriented architecture or software as a service) and OSS though not revolutionary because of the weight of the IT legacy, is surely evolving gradually. The CEOs and CIOs are not happy with the vendor lock-in and the tight integration of their architecture and the prize they pay. This problem is very well addressed by SOA and OSS.

The second day was Red Hat Developer Day; it was aimed to bring together Linux developers and users to help grow open source technologies. Red Hat provides a platform for improving development, techniques, tools and standards through the sharing of technical knowledge and expertise. These efforts are to encourage open source development in India. Red Hat is initiating the Red Hat Developer Program, a community development program in India through Red Hat 108. Red Hat 108 is a community of and for open source developers.

The other topics covered are:-

Virtualization:

Virtualization means the operating system is isolated from the hardware it's running on. Several operating systems can run on one machine, and different workloads can be easily combined and moved. With virtualization, you can:

Move workloads from server to server.
Change hardware without retesting software
Allows isolation of failures and control access to data.
Manipulate to maximize processing power and capacity
Have a safe, secure space for testing.

Virtualization technology can help lower costs by optimizing and increasing utilization of computing systems. They declined to comment about the licensing of the operating system. They can charge per operating system (if 3 operating system instances are run on one machine, they can charge for 3 licenses) or per hardware (this is independent of how many operating system you have installed in a pc).

Red Hats acquisition of JBoss:

This move is strategically poised to improve the presence of Red Hat in the middleware. They wanted to deliver a full server application stack. JBoss provides a very rich set of applications, J2EE server, portal, development IDE, transaction management etc. This gives Red Hat a middleware stack that beats their competition by thousands of dollars. JBoss makes more sense here and it will become their de facto application server. They will be able to do some really tight integration and give their customers an out-of-the-box J2EE solution that should perform really well. It is still not known whether JBoss will be bundled with Red Hat as of now.

SystemTap

SystemTap, a Red Hat utility allows developers and administrators to write scripts for deep examinations of Dynamic Linux Kernel activities. Data may be filtered, extracted, and summarized quickly to enable diagnoses of complex problems.

JBoss Operations Network (JBoss ON)

JBoss ON is a console based advanced management platform for inventorying, administering, monitoring, and updating JEMS applications. Jboss ON is an agent-based platform that is deployed locally.

The most important JBoss ON Modules are:

Inventory, allows you to catalog IT assets spanning platforms (Linux, HP/UX, Solaris, Windows, AIX), servers (Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat, JBoss AS), and services (EJB, Message Driven Beans, data sources). Assets can be added manually or auto-discovered providing enhanced visibility over your critical business applications including their versions and dependencies.

Administration provides a single location for performing key control functions such as start, stop, and re-start across the entire JEMS platform. Administration functions can be applied to a single application or across an enterprise cluster. Operations can also be scheduled for later dates, on-demand or on a recurring basis. This module also allows you to roll-back to previous versions if necessary.

Monitoring provides extensive monitoring capabilities for the JEMS platform along with supporting components such as operating systems (Windows, Linux, and UNIX), Apache Tomcat, Apache Web Server and any JEMS-based applications. The Monitoring Module continuously builds and updates a model of behavior of every measurement being collected. This allows you to define alerts relevant to the actual behavior of your infrastructure. Baselines are also utilized to identify out of band problems. This allows you to quickly identify resources within your infrastructure that require attention as well as get a historical view of what was happening at the time of the fault.

JBoss portal:

JBoss Portal has a business friendly open source license that makes it free to download, use, embed, and distribute. JBoss Portal provides a framework for centralized and secure access to applications and information, which fosters collaboration, streamlines business processes, and reduces costs. Since JBoss Portal is based on open standards, it can incorporate components into the Portal as standardized and reusable Portlets.

The symposium also included topics about Red Hat Road Map, Lowering TCO and Increasing ROI with JEMS (JBoss Enterprise Management Suite), Security and ID Management, Red Hat Cluster Suite and Red Hat Global File System.

How To Improve Search Engine Rankings

Search engine ranking: Why is it so important?

Search engine ranking refers to the placement or position of a website in search engine results. Most companies aim to fall within the first 10 of the search engine results because typical visitor behavior indicates that most people do not go beyond the first 10 results page when searching for something. Essentially it is the first page of the search engine results that offers companies the most visibility and the most traffic potential. Therefore most companies scramble to get a ranking within the top 10 listings. It is what will differentiate between success and failure.

How to improve search engine ranking? With the immense competition and millions of websites, all wanting to get listed in the top 10 search engine results, how does one go about it? Here in this section we provide some tips and ideas on how to improve visibility among search engines:

- Position of keywords: Keywords are very essential for visitors to find what they're looking for on your website. The best place to have these keywords is the title of the article of webpage and the top of the page in the title bar.

- Zero downtime: Visitors are impatient and there are loads of websites that can give them the information you're giving. Added to that if your website is going to have downtime and slow pages, it is sure to make visitors disappear. 24x7 uptime is an absolute must on your website.

- Easy navigation: Nothing gives a website as much negative publicity as its navigation. If users are not able to find what they're looking for quickly, they will make an exit from your website. Website design is critical in determining search engine popularity. If users are happy with your website design, search engines will automatically favor your website.

- The right keywords: Having the right keywords can mean the difference between an "also ran" website and one that is top of the list. Using overly common keywords risks the chance of being lost in the crowd while using less popular keywords means losing traffic altogether. It is best to use strategic, powerful keywords that stand out, add value to your website and describe what your website offers in as concise a manner as possible.

- Meta Tags: These are machine friendly descriptions of what your website is about. They are embedded in the backend HTML coding of a webpage and are used by robots that crawl websites to gauge the popularity of your website.

- Avoid overusing graphics: Graphics cannot be read by the search engine robots and hence by overusing these graphics you miss the potential to increase the search engine ranking of your website. It is best to use HTML code as much as possible.

- Regularly monitor website listing: It is important to frequently monitor the performance of your website in terms of search engine ranking. In this age of tough competition and websites scrambling to get listed on search engines, it is essential to know where you stand.

- Article marketing: Article marketing represents a great way to enhance one's search engine ranking. For this it is essential to write articles on current topics of interest. Also it is essential to use the right strategic keywords for better search engine visibility. While posting articles on article directories, it is essential to post all mandatory information required by the website, as well as ensure strict adherence to website rules and regulations.

- Keyword research: Keyword research plays a crucial role in ascertaining the popularity of keywords, which ones are most used by visitors etc. Most organizations spend top dollar in getting access to this information and to enhance their website popularity in search engines.

- Incoming links: Incoming links refer to exchanging or purchasing links of other websites to direct traffic to your website. The more the incoming links the better the chances at enhancing search engine ranking.

- Press releases: Press releases, although they sound clichd, are a great way to boost search engine ranking. They provide the latest updates on your website, the latest news and events and other important information which could be of interest to readers. Having frequently changing press releases helps to keep the buzz alive around your website and generates curiosity for website visitors.

Anthony Robbins- The Worlds Greatest Motivator

If you have ever heard of the concept of neurolinguistic programming, or NLP, which was originally conceived by linguist John Grinder and Gestalt therapist/computer programmer Richard Bandler, you will remember that it is basically a bunch of positive thinking techniques that has become popular in recent years by Anthony Robbins. Anthony Robbins explains the meaning of "neurolinguistic programming like this:

The name comes from neuro, referring to the brain, and linguistic, referring to language. Programming is the installation of a plan or procedure. NLP is the study of how language, both verbal and nonverbal, affects our nervous system. It is in our ability to do anything in life which is based upon our ability to direct our own nervous system. Those people who are able to produce some outstanding result do so by producing specific communications to and through the nervous system.

One of the most popular methods for doing this is called modeling. This method basically states that behaviors can be installed into a person much in the same way that you would insert software onto a computer. You can use language to program the human mind with productive beliefs and behavior rather than bad ones. All you have to do is pick a successful person to serve as the model, and then imitate them. He believes that by doing this you can program your mind to successful habits. Anthony Robbins says that a key aspect to NLP is that all human beings share the same basic neurology. This means that if anyone in the world is successful at doing a something, any other human being can do the same thing if they run their own mindset in the exact same way. That is where the term modeling came from because you are modeling your behavior after them. You can also take advantage of personal development affiliate programs like SkyQuestCom or Success University

If you want to achieve success, all you need to do is find someone to model yourself after and all will be fine. The hard part may just be finding that person to start with. The best part about Anthony Robbins method is that you can apply it to any aspect of your life. For example, you can be a better parent, athlete, chef, student and any other aspect of your life that you want to be successful in. Anthony Robbins methodology might sound too simple, but that is part of its brilliance as it makes it easier to understand and apply to your life.
